The engagement was announced 22 December, 2005, between Shane Corstorphine, younger son of Mr & Mrs Sandy Corstorphine, of Balerno, Edinburgh, & Katherine Adini Mary (Katy) Critchley-Salmonson (b. 1979), descended from (and in remainder to the Barony of Howard de Walden) elder daughter of Denis Patrick Antony Critchley-Salmonson (b. 1953), by his wife, the former Angela Jane Willoughby (b. 1956), a granddaughter of the 11th Baron Middleton, KG (1887-1970). Katy Critchley-Salmonson's great-grandfather Maj. Denis Granville Coskey Critchley Salmonson, MC, married in 1916, Mary Ellis, OBE (1888-1971), descended from the Barons Howard de Walden.
