The engagement was announced 7 October, 2005, between Dr the Hon. William Sackville Tufton (b. 14 November, 1977), son and heir of the 6th Baron Hothfield, of Drybeck Hall, Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria, by his wife Lucinda Marjorie Gurney (descended from the extinct de Bathe Baronets), & Elizabeth A. Burgess, only daughter of Mr Robin Burgess, of Headingley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, by his wife, Jean.
